About the Instructors

Dana Sitar is an author and digital publishing coach in the service of entrepreneurial writers and writerly entrepreneurs. She shares resources, tips, and tools for budding through DIY Writing services and the community blog at WritersBucketList.com.

Dana is the author of A Writer’s Bucket List, a contributor to Writer’s Digest Books’ 2014 Guide to Self-Publishing, and the Amazon Bestselling Entrepreneurship Sucks (but it doesn’t have to) series.

Her writing has been published online and in print by Writer’s Digest, Entrepreneur Magazine, Brazen Careerist, Make a Living Writing, SF Weekly, Seattle Weekly, and dozens more writing and career industry blogs and publications.

Dr. Jacqueline Preston is an Assistant Professor - Basic Composition/ESL at Utah Valley University.

Jacque obtained her doctorate in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin. Her work has been published in Community Literacy Journal and UW Instructional Guide for English 100. Her research interests include project-based learning, rhetorical literacies, and rhetorical hermeneutics.


The Department of Basic Composition at Utah Valley University is dedicated to assisting students and community members in improving their literacy (i.e., reading and writing skills).
